Jubilee Irvine Celebrates 7 Years of God’s Faithfulness!

This April marks the 7th anniversary of the opening of Jubilee Presbyterian Church in Irvine. From a humble but ambitious beginning, we have grown through joys and trials to a faithful congregation of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You are cordially invited to our celebration as Dr. S. Steve Park from Westminster Theological Seminary, PA delivers a series of messages culminating in a congratulations and charge to our church family.

The dates are: April 16-17; 7pm. And, April 18; 11am.
The location is: Woodbury Elementary School (125 Great Lawn, Irvine, CA 92620).

14th NAP Completed

The 14th NAP was completed on March 23rd. As part of the business conducted during this meeting, the NAP elected a new executive Committee, lead by our Moderator, Rev. Iggi Choi. For the rest of the Executuve Committee, click here. The NAP also welcomed a new member, Rev. Paul Hwang (of Tiberias Presbyterian Church) and took four men undercare in the hope that we will soon be able to ordain them as pastors.

14th NAP Meeting - Artesia, CA

The 14th meeting of the North America Presbytery will be held on Mar 22-24, 2010. The meeting is being hosted by Cerritos Presbyterian Church. Any items for the meeting agenda should be forwarded to the Stated Clerk no later than March 12 for inclusion on the docket.

Any NAP members needing a room for the meeting should also notify the Stated Clerk.

2010 Pastoral Candidacy Exams

The Examination Committee of the KAPC General Assembly has released the 2010 Pastoral Candidacy Requirements. All men who wish to pursue pastoral ordination through the KAPC are examined by the General Assembly as part of their training. This announcment from the committee contains all the relevant information on these requirements for the 2010 exams. Further questions about the ordination process are addressed in the FAQ page of napres.org or can be submited to the Stated Clerk. The exam announcement also specifices that English inquiries to the committee can be directed to Pastor James Kim of Jubilee Presbyterian Chruch of Irvine.

13th NAP Meeting Completed!

The North America Presbytery completed its 13th meeting this week in Baltimore, MD. The meeting was hosted by Hope Chapel in Lutherville, MD. Among the business carried out by the NAP, four men were examined and ordained to the office of pastor. Congratulations to the new Revs. Matthew Fore, James Lee, David Nam, and Kenneth Noh! We earnestly pray that the Lord will richly bless your service to his church.

Fall NAP Meeting, Sept. 21-23

The Fall Meeting of the North America Presbytery will be held on September 21-23, 2009. Hope Chapel (Baltimore, MD) will be hosting the meeting.

Rev. James Kim Installed

On Sunday April 19th, Rev. James Kim was installed by the NAP as the Sr. Pastor of Jubilee Presbyterian Church of Irvine. Jubilee began as a church plant in December 2002. The church has grown over the past six and a half years and now has a session and deaconate. In addition, this was the first NAP church plant to develop into an organized church. Praise God for his faithful care of Jubilee. May he continue to strengthen and build his church.

KAPC General Assembly

The 33rd General Assembly of the Korean American Presbyterian Church will be held on May 19-22, 2009 in Seattle, WA at the Marriott Seattle Airport Hotel.
